28 Dec Calling all printmakers!

The Sunshine Coast Arts Council was thrilled to receive the donation of a large printmaking press from artist Russ Tkachuk but needed help making it functional. With a grant from Sunshine Coast Community Foundation, the Arts Council installed a proper ventilation system to allow safe operation of the press. The Sunshine Coast now has the first publicly-accessible printmaking facility suitable for wood and linoleum block printing, monoprints, and collagraphs. The Arts Council also developed a series of workshops on printmaking with the help of a dedicated cadre of local printmakers.
