With a personalized approach, we offer tailored solutions that empower individuals, families and organizations to make meaningful contributions — no matter their resources. Giving, in any amount, can be impactful, accessible and deeply connected to the community’s needs. We can support the causes that are most important to you, whatever that looks like.

If you are looking to make a more significant gift, consider opening your own fund.

For donors who want to have an impact over many generations, we continue to welcome and support permanent endowments.

The Foundation also offers other fund structures beyond the traditional endowment model, including spend-down, minimum disbursement and temporary funds, as well as flow-through funding.

Leave a Gift in Your Will & Memorial Funds

Create a fund today and endow it through your estate when that time comes. It’s a way of ensuring the causes closest to your heart are supported beyond your lifetime. In addition, you can change the charities you want the fund to support at any time without having to update your Will. You can also open a Memorial Fund to celebrate and honour a loved one.

Visit this page for more information about leaving a gift in your Will, and please ask your lawyer to visit this page for the appropriate language to use in your Will.

We are here to provide you with flexible ways to give, along with access to the expertise and resources you need to create a personalized approach to your giving.

Stories: Jonathan Mason Hird

The Sunshine Coast Foundation is grateful to have received a final gift from long-time Gibsons’ resident, Jon Hird, as a bequest in his will. Always inspired by making a difference, he found ways to amplify his life knowing it was going to end. He sold his home and rented it back from the purchaser. He also arranged in his will to gift the proceeds of his home to organizations that were important to him.
