(xwesam/Roberts Creek) Elizabeth joined the Sunshine Coast Foundation in 2023, shortly after moving to the Sunshine Coast following stints in Edinburgh and Montreal. With her she brought a love for philanthropy and caring for her community.
Originally from Vancouver, Elizabeth has an MA in International Relations, and experience working in intellectual property and anti-counterfeiting. Today, she works at the Sunshine Coast Credit Union but her dedication to giving back extends well beyond her professional life – having volunteered for seven years with the SPCA in Montreal, she now donates her time to The Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons.
Believing that philanthropy is about more than just financial contributions, Elizabeth is committed to fostering a culture of giving through time, effort, and community-building. She is passionate about supporting local organizations and creating opportunities that strengthen the community.
Outside of her work and volunteer commitments, Elizabeth is an avid traveler, and she enjoys cooking, hiking, and reading. She also shares her home with a Black Lab named Reggie and two cats, Rusty and Islay.
