Our Sponsors & Funders

Founding Partner and Principal Sponsor:

The Sunshine Coast Foundation is proud to celebrate Sunshine Coast Credit Union as our Founding Partner and Principal Sponsor and a true champion of our community. For nearly two decades, they have been supporting our mission of connecting a caring community with causes that make a difference.

It all started in 2004, when the Sunshine Coast Credit Union made a generous four-year commitment totaling $100,000 to establish our inaugural Community Legacy fund. This fund was the foundation of our Foundation, and it set in motion the important work we do on the Sunshine Coast. Thanks to their visionary leadership, our pool of Community Legacy funds has grown to over $2.3 Million and, since 2018, the Sunshine Coast Credit Union Endowment has supported a wide range of local causes and initiatives with over $30,000 in grant disbursements.

But that was just the beginning. Sunshine Coast Credit Union has continued to be a loyal and strategic partner of our Foundation, sponsoring our change-making Vital Signs report since its inception in 2009. These reports provide valuable insights into the social, economic, and environmental well-being of our community, and help us identify the most pressing issues and opportunities for action.

Most recently, Sunshine Coast Credit Union has shown their commitment to addressing food insecurity on the Coast by leading the way in contributions to our Coast-Wide Food Bank endowment in 2021-22. This endowment will provide sustainable funding for the four food banks that serve our region, with the goal that no one goes hungry in our community.

”We are honoured to be sharing this journey with the Sunshine Coast Foundation,” said Jodi Fichtner, Sunshine Coast Credit Union’s chief impact and marketing officer. “The alignment between our organizations is rooted in our commitment to defining success based on a long-term vision. While we look to address the needs of today, we also need to ensure the decisions we are making will positively impact generations to come. Congratulations to the Foundation for 20 years of identifying needs in the community, and working collaboratively to create impact today while building lasting legacies for tomorrow.”

We are immensely grateful to our local Credit Union for their ongoing support and collaboration. They have been with us every step of the way, sharing in our vision of a healthy and vibrant community where everyone belongs. Together, we are making a lasting difference on the Sunshine Coast.
